November

With it unlikely that there'll be another show opportunity anytime soon I thought I'd start sharing snippets from the rehearsals.

October

UPDATE: SHOW CANCELED.  Last minute too.  Sorry for anyone who shows up at the door.  We've never cancelled a show before... sucks.  We'd like to thank the Zoo for being cool to us, they had no role in the cancellation.

Back to the stage!  The Zoo, Osborne Village, Sunday October 31 Halloween, in 6 days!  Why last minute notice after 2 years?  Why not?.

September

The new recording of Pure is up in the form of a new vid.  This is from Renagde Redux, which started as a remix of Part 1, became a re-recording of Part 1, and is sorta still that.  Its nearing completion.  We are hoping we can finish this project by the end of October.  If it goes longer maybe we'll start putting it online song by song as they get finished.  Some pics added of us rehearsing, recording.  

August

Rehearsals have been steady and gaining some consistency.  Probably the biggest change is the vocal duties are being spread out between the 3 of us.  Part 1 Redux still in the oven, decided to do more re-recording.  It'll be available for download around Halloween.

April

So Part 2 now online just about everywhere.  Initial sales report indicates Bite Me When Its Over is the major seller.  Thanks to those checking it out.  You'll find a new vid for Killing Neurons, includes a few shots of recording that one.

March

Realising he was ugly Chad decided to punch out his bathroom mirrior.  Sadly he needed that hand to play bass, so while I look for Curtis' number the band will remain on performance hiatus.  Really I wish him well and I'm sure all will be sane again in a few weeks.  Part 2 has now found its way on Itunes.  Far, far sooner then I expected.  So far switching distributors seems to be working out.
Lately there's been some retweaking with Part 1.  At first it was just a remix but as time allowed its turned into a cart load of overdubs.  Yay!  More work.  Sadly it'll probably be several months before the new version is seen online.
In other plans I soon hope to open up the login page for free public registrations, I'm imagining it as a kind of living 'online booklet' to the music.  Registering will also act as our mailing list which has been lost since our last show when we switched web hosts.

February Part 2...

This was unexpected... Part 2 already available in many online stores.  Find out more RIGHT HERE  Usually this sort of thing takes 6-8 weeks not a couple of days.  Guess I'll have to update the Part 2 info blurb sooner then expected.  You'll notice its better mixed, better performed, and mostly softer moody material... even though it was recorded at the same time as 1.  More info to follow.

February

Chad was getting carved up in a hospital over the weekend so he'll need some healing time before we can work on performing again.   In the meantime expect untitled Part 2 to be digitally released.  Physical copies we'll save for friends/shows.  The store thing can be a lot of work with little payoff.   Part 1 will in the near future stop being available anywhere, and replaced with a tweaked version by summer's end.  And if time allows perhaps an updated Wreathe in the fall.  Whats worth doing is worth redoing better.  The hope for this year is to finally launch the live version of Renagde which didn't gel last year.

Check out the new alien vid for Pure!  Don't look for Part 1 on Itunes its not there!  It should be there... but its not.   Kind of like the band itself... but we're working to have some fun with this project before it goes to the island of misfit toys.   See ya with news in the new year.

Had been considering putting out Part 1 and 2 at the same but juggling 2 discs wasn't practical.   So the angelic part 2 will wait until January.

QUICK UPDATEWe'll be doing the The Sounding Board thing only once on the 18th this month.  725 Corydon ave.  We won't be on very long, leaves plenty of time to have a drink with us!

Chad will be with the band on bass for a few months, maybe beyond.  Next Tuesday the 11th and the 18th we'll be dropping in on 'The Sounding Board' at 725 Corydon for a few songs.  I think of it as a public practise.  Intimate environment, no cover that I'm aware of.  

June pt 2

Looks like we're part of the Power 97 contest this week Renagde at Power 97.  Off their site you can download SMAX, Pure, and Breathe.  I think it might be the first time anything off of Part 1 has been available for mp3 download.  Noticed they used some pics off the site with Scott rather then the one we sent em.  Made me notice we don't have many live pics with Mike, and the ones we do are blurry and kinda suck.  He's like the Loc-Ness monster, not much evidence out there.

Mike, Curtis, and myself are busy rehearsing ourselves.  You'll notice we did an acoustic show with Scott which was great.  We pulled a few songs we've never much played before, aside from recording.  Scott always has a few projects he's involved with, his latest The Rayls is crazy good.  They like to play in downtown alleys.  Someone from War On Music spotted them and invited to play at their store June 22.  I'm going to try and make it.
For ourself, eh maybe by months end we'll have our plans worked out for this year.  No back alley plans.

April

So untitled part 1 and 2 have finally come around and will be available.  Part 1 will be first hopefully before June.  Check our Myspace to listen to SMAX.  Part 2 soon after, probably September.  It was an interesting journey but I'm a little tired of recording and mixing and just want to play for now.  Hopefully we learned enough this time to make future recordings happen quicker.
Oh and congratulations to DJ Brace, who played at one of our shows, his Electric Nose Hair CD just won a Juno.   Our friend and frequent contributor Scott Druming played drums on that disc.  Scott played on most of Wreathe, and you can hear him again on several tracks on Part 1 and 2.

December

Thanks for checking in.  We decided to completely re-record about six tracks from both 1 and 2 and approach the mix a little differently.  This is still ongoing pushing the recording time for this project past a year now.  lol, shit. 
As well we revisisted Wreathe and re-did Rise and Come Down with Mike on drums (were not replacing anything Scott did he wasn't on those tracks) and while we were at that Curtis decided to add and tweak a few things from other parts of the disc.  So not quite in time for Christmas, but we find ourselves with a new version of Wreathe.  Look for it on here in the next month or so.

As for the parts, probably by Feb we'll have a version we'll be happy with.  Too soon to say when you can have it.

I want to thank Jeff for his time spent with me over the last couple of months.  Wasn't very much time either of us had available but his advice was useful.  My heart goes out to him with his wife's sudden passing.

September

Show was fun if a little unsteady.  On my own I decided to keep the energy going by doing a few songs at Charlie-O's the week after.  Jeff has advised some re-recording on a few items so the recording beast rises again.

August

Great news!  We hitched on to an unexpected show.  Sept 2, opening for The Gods Of Now from Montreal.  Will mark our first time downstairs at The Osbourne Village Inn, and the first full set in year.  (The last time was upstairs at The Osbourne Village.)

I decided to switch servers for our site so some things are disabled for awhile.  Only some of music is available we have a new friend Jeff of Sinister Conduct who's going to remix it.  So we're going to hold off posting the whole thing until we hear his version.

Okay after months of delay the new is site up.  New music has arrived and we have made a backend page to deliver it to you.  For awhile you can get it free just by registering on the forum.  The radio has Curtis talking about Wreathe, Terry talking about Part 1, and hopefully soon something about part 2.

Some updates to the site.  You can see there's a radio to stream sweet lovin' Renagde to your thirsty ears.  There's an access place for people who like secret areas.  Still using the forum as a psuedo blog for updates.  You check it for the latest news.

Now we have a newsletter to let you know when we play again, or have new music or vids. Go ahead and sign up, you can unsubscribe at anytime. In real news we're finally getting into the recording process. Feels like a victory just to get started! We're not sure if there'll be another show by the end of the year... we'll see.

August pt 3

Looks like we're going to open up Wednesday evening at The Zoo down in Osbourne Village. On stage at 9pm doing just a slightly shorter set then we normally do. Haven't done anything this last minute since the Bramer's days.

August pt 2

As luck would have it there were some people in the crowd taking pictures! I got a batch today thanks to Bulback Sr who had his digital camera in tow. The video behind us didn't photograph so well, guess it was the flash. Chance some more might be coming in from another source. Enjoy.

Getting close to show day! Unfortunatly Mista Banx and crew WILL NOT be able to do the show. But we'll probably add in a video angle to our performance, it'll be fun!

As you can see we're going to the Park Theatre on Aug 18, with us will be the usual bunch of waNda wilsoN and DJ Mista Banx. Show will be much earlier starting around 7, we'll probably go on around 9. Admission is $9. This will be the first show with Mike on drums.

Show was a blast! Getting to work on decided when the next one should happen. Some pics are up courtesy of Reed. Now our attention will be to getting FUIS recorded in the next month or so.

Show at the Albert was a blast. One hour and six minutes, longest set yet. Apologies for the late start, and thanks for everyone who came out during a work week. You can see the setlist in the forums. Pictures should start arriving through the week.

The first recordings with Curtis will debut in December with 'Wreathe'. Was going to be a Christmas album but we ditched the carols and instead make a winter 'themed' disc. Scott the drum wizard is on most of the tracks.
